It is a great pleasure for me to write this biography of Dr. Huda a successful self-made man. The great grand father of Dr. Khandker Fazlul Huda namely late Al- haj Moulvi Khandker Alimuddin after completion of his Entrance in 1920 from Calcutta University under the then British – India Emperor continued his studies with Adward College, Pabna under Calcutta University for sometime. Thereafter, he concentrated with noble teaching profession at Nagarpur Government Jodunath High school. He was involved in founding NagarpurGovernmentCollegeand other schools and madrasas. His works on birth control is really astonishing. In this regard his extensive research on this most sensitive topic led him to write a book on birth control namely “Birth Control in Islam”.
This book was translated in English language himself and was sent to late Mr Ayub Khan, the then autocrat President of Pakistan who highly appreciated the same and ordered to purchase thousands of copies for free distribution among the Muslim parents to control birth according to Islamic law. Late Al- haj Moulvi Khandker Alimuddin narrated in his book that birth control in Islam religion is permitted (Zayej) by the Prophet (SM). This book on “Birth Control in Islam” had earned red eyes of the so-called Muslim fundamentalists. In 1972, after the war of liberation he was called on a curtsey visit by the then Hon’ble President of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, his lordship Mr. Justice late Abu Sayed Chowdhury. Mr. President considering his revolutionary works on “Birth Control in Islam” and social reform was pleased to grant STATE HONORARIUM which continued even after his death. The copy right of the said book was purchased by the Family Planning Department by an order passed by Mr. President Jusice late Abu Sayed Chowdhuryfor free distribution among the Muslim parents. Late Al- haj Moulvi Khandker Alimuddin was the first English, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Urdu & Sanskrit knowing qualified person in his area during the period of British rule in India at Nagarpur upazila in the district of Tangail.
The grandfather of Dr. Khandkar Fazlul Huda, known as late Mr. N H Khander also completed his matriculation from Calcutta University under the then British – India Emperor along with his elder brother namely Khandker Shamsul Huda. The grandfather Mr. N H Khander passed his
Bachelor of Arts and obtained Law degree from Rajshahi University. He was a senior lawyer of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and till death he was not involved with any politics. He was a kind- hearted man and better known as a friend of poor and beggars. He funded poor
students to complete their studies which is still remembered by all. He established progressive education center for the neglected female muslims at his birth place at Andibari, Nagarpur, Tangail. This education center has been named in memory of his mother namely “Mother Sayeda Amina Khatun Female Madrasa” where the neglected female muslims are learning religion and normal education free of cost to maintain their day to day affairs.
The father of Dr. Khandker Fazlul Huda, is also a prominent lawyer of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and known as Advocate Mr. K M S Hasan also a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association. He has joined this legal profession following the path of his father Senior Advocate
late Mr. N H Khandker. He is a founding member of the Executive Committee of the Queen’s College founded by his qualified and competent son Lion Dr. Khandker Fazlul Huda. Advocate Mr. K M S Hasan is the founding Chairman and life member of well known “Helal Memorial Foundation” founded in memory of his eldest son late Helal who lost both of his kidney due to wrong treatment in Bangladesh. Advocate Mr. K M S Hasan being so kind voluntarily donated his left kidney to his eldest son Helal in 1984 at Christian Medical College, Vellore, India while Helal was 10 years old. Helal lived with the transplanted kidney for 12 years more and died at the age of 22. He is also a founding member of “Visa Foundation”, “Victorian InternationalScholarsAcademy Foundation“ & “Queen’s College” where the slogan is “no to coaching and private tuition”. He has been selected as convener of “Organ Donors’ Club” as voluntary kidney donor to his son late Helal in whose name Helal Memorial Foundation has been founded. Advocate Mr. K M S Hasan is also a prominent presenter of a lot of TV talk shows where he discusses about the most important topics like rule of law, health, education, the right of children and women etc.
Dr. Khandker Fazlul Huda (MA, LLM, MBA, DBA) obtained his Phd. on Business Administration from UK. He is the founding Chairman of Queen’s School & College, Visa Foundation and Victorian International Scholars Academy Foundation, CEO of Visa World Wide Admission and other sister concerns of Visa Group of Companies. He founded “Helal Memorial Foundation” and Organ Donors’ Club. He has travelled almost whole of Europe, Asia and created overseas market for our students in different institutions and universities for higher studies abroad. Dr. Khandker Fazlul Huda for the first time launched a very special program on Bangla Vision Satellite TV Channel on Career building. This TV Programme known as “VISA YOUR FUTURE” (Visa Apnar Agami) became the most popular TV shows where Dr. Huda guided the students and their parents to choose the right subject for higher study. To my knowledge he has arranged scholarships of millions of Pound Starling and Dollar as waiver of tuition fee from USA and EUROPE for our poor and meritorious students. Thousands of students of Bangladesh have been studying abroad with the scholarships provided by Dr. Huda.
It is well known that there are a lot of universities and Degree College in Bangladesh but according to admission of UGC and Hon’ble Education Minister, only a handful universities and degree institutions have been providing with quality education. So, our students cannot spoil their future career studying at low quality educational institutions. Its better to go for higher study abroad to become self sufficient. Dr. Huda has opened the closed door of higher education abroad for our general students at large. Dr. Huda has also provided with scholarships and stipends to hundreds of poor meritorious students from Helal Memorial Foundation, Visa Foundation and Queen’s College. He is also funding poor patients, distributing warm clothes and food among the poor and landless people in different parts of Bangladesh through “Helal Memorial Foundation” of which he is the founding Executive Director and life member.
Dr. Huda participated in many international education fairs and seminars in Europe and Asia upon invitation by the foreign universities and colleges. He also arranged many internationaland national educations fair in different parts of Bangladesh.
Dr. Khandker Fazlul Huda has been awarded with various honour by different Socio –Cultural and Journalists Forum for his remarkable contribution towards education sector as education entrepreneur. Even in 2009 and 2010 he has been awarded with “Banga Bandhu Best Performance Award “and “Banga Bandhu Award”- 2010 by the Hon’ble Home Minister, Magazine Journalists Welfare Foundation and Poet Badrunnesa Ali Foundation respectively. He has also received a lot of other awards which cannot be said over here for want of space. He has been also awarded with Rebel Poet Nazrul Memorial Award 2010 and Sher-e-Bangla A K Fazlul Hoque Foundation Award in 2009. In fact, very recently in this 2010 AD he has received four Awards for his contribution to education sector.
Visa World Wide Admission under the dynamic leadership of Dr. K F Huda has become member of American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) and Bangladesh-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
